data port unusable. how do i get my info off the phone?

So due to a 10 second dip in the ocean, my data port for the nexus S wont recognize the battery charger or the usb cord. I had to buy a universal battery charger and charge the phone that way. That worked for like 1 week. Then the phone died altogether.

But because there is no SD card, are all my pictures and stuff on the phone stuck in there forever?
I called Samsung, they said they cant do anything about it.

If anyone has any ideas or help they can offer, I would be so grateful. I really just want the pictures from my phone and maybe some old texts messages. :'(

as long as wifi is working you can use the airdroid app.

the whole phone is dead at this point. not even a charged battery could turn it on. that was weeks ago. i guess i could buy another universal charger (returned the 1st one) and see if it would work again. this is getting depressing, lol.

Or you could just copy your backup files to you new phone from your computer.

But I'm just assuming you backed up your data on a regular basis like most of us do.
