Data slow or non-existent

It was working for the whole last 3 hours or so and now nothing. I've tried powering it down and then back on and it works for a little bit and then back to nothing. I can only imagine with Verizon's systems having to activate several thousand new phones today, that may be the problem. I can't get my case off that easily, so taking the battery out is not an option. And I thought I got away from that with the switch to Android?!
