Data speeds on my s4

So I originally bought an s4 from tmobile and I was getting at work at all times way over 20Mbs download speeds and I'm on unlimited data. I traded my T-Mobile s4 for a t-mo HTC one and started to get in that same spot an average of 1-5 mbs down. I switched back to an s4 and its the same. Is there anything that I can do to make the phone faster? I've tried contacting T-Mobile to do an imei change but that doesn't help. Any suggestions?

Is your Network mode set to connect to LTE? Also, are you in a city where LTE is officially live?

What are you connected to? Check your apn settings. I had to change mine a little and I got lte.

How about some more information? How long were you were getting the 20+Mbps down on the first S4? A few days, a week, a month? You can see a wide variation in throughput even when connecting from the same area with the same equipment.

It it definitely that download speed. I took this when I was in Vegas on the strip. Also I just got mine last month and still happy with it.

Yeah I had it well over 2 weeks and I work right next to a tower so I was always showing customers my speeds. But all that is irrelevant now because LTE just got turned on in my area so I get well over 20+ anywhere
