After using the phone for a month now, verizon reports my data usage at 13GB no tethering just watching youtube videos and Ustream.
I can only imagine more once the thunderbolt is officially supports netflix.

What's your data usage at?

84.5mb. I hardly use youtube, I don't watch movies. Just web surf from time to time when needed.

The most I have ever used was 5GB. That is ridiculous that you used 13GB

sent for my fantastic thunderbolt.

I tend to watch youtube content that is more than 10minutes long, sometimes up to 30mins.

There would be no way I would survive in a Tiered Plan.

I'm at about 3.5GB with 13 days left in my billing cycle. I average around 5GB a month and I use WiFi when I'm at home.

There is a widget called traffic monitor. I found that I had a few apps that were hogs and kept updating, I run my wifi a lot also so I'm at 5g wifi 1 gig wireless.

Can you list these apps?

Have to wait a few more months before I can calculate my average, as this is my first month with this phone.

HOLY SMOKES! I thought I used the phone a lot, and I don't often exceed 1GB! I do have WiFi at work and home, but man.

I use navigation a lot. I browse the web. I have 7 email accounts. I sync all sorts of stuff, and I stay under 1GB.

13GB...I couldn't imagine. I'm going to be watching a movie on my slingbox app over 3G on a road trip this week, so it will be curious to see how much data that sucks down...probably a lot =)

Probably 20-30gb/mo. I use Skype, so that uses a lot of bandwidth.

been about 1.6gb my two billing cycles, so some of you are ten times my total in two months for just one of your months?

GET OFF THE PHONES PEOPLE!

I don't get even close to double digits in data, but I'm noticing now that I have a phone and a connection that is actually capable of doing almost the same stuff as my computer I don't even get on the computer when I'm at home unless I absolutely positively need to. It's so much easier to just grab my phone.

The only reason I end up with about 5GB instead of 10 or more is because I turn on WiFi while I'm at home since I have 20Mbps internet at home.

i was more or less singling out the 20gb-30gb ppl. that just seems like so much!

5gb isn't bad. 10gb is a little bad. 15gb is starting to get pretty bad. 20gb is just bad. 30gb is GET OFF THE PHONE! ;)

wow.
um. maybe--big maybe--i'm up to like 2.5GB's this month?
previous month i think i was at like 3.5?

yow. well. at least i know i'm not in danger of being in that top 5% :)

edit: i'm on wifi @ home, so that's cushioning my impact. but now that i've got TVShowsStream back on my phone, i'm sure i'll be raising my usage while on lunch breaks

I was shocked to see mine was over 1GB, mainly because I'm on wifi >85% of the time.

I guess I'm not using it to the full potential!

Hehe, I'm making sure to use the phone and the LTE network to it's full potential, plus I'm one who has slower internet than LTE, I dont consider 13GB bad for LTE maybe on 3G I could see it but since LTE is a whole lot faster it should be able to handle a bigger network load. (In my opinion)

and we wonder why verizon wont give us hotspot for free.

people just plain abuse it. there is no reason someone should use 30 gig a month with a smartphone.

30 GB can be easily be obtainable with Netflix, if the standard movie is 2GB, it'll only take 15Movies to get that much.
Which can be a movie a day.. I see this possible..
