Dates on photos have changed when the photos have been downloaded from the Samsung Cloud to my phone

Hi,

I backed up my photos to the cloud, and then needed to do a Factory reset on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S9).

The photos now appear in my gallery, after I have synced them with the cloud, although some of their dates have changed.

The bigger concern is that I want to download the photos onto my phone. For example, in order for me to play a Cloud video, I need to download it to my device.

When I downloaded the photos and videos to my phone, it changed the date of the photo, and therefore it changed the order that I can view them within the gallery.

Can I download the photos from the cloud to my phone, whilst maintaining the correct dates? The dates in the cloud are primarily correct, apart from a few examples.

I have a photo album that contains pictures of our baby son, and I want to ensure that they are kept in the correct chronological order. Therefore I need the dates within the photos to remain correct, and not change when I download them from the cloud.

Thank you.

The last modified date on a file you just downloaded would be today. Writing it to the phone's storage is modifying it. If you want to change that, see https://forums.androidcentral.com/general-help-how/465020-how-do-you-modify-time-date-file.html (The date you want as last modified is probably the date in the EXIF information in the file, so you might need an EXIF editor like Photo Exif Editor. (Look for the create date.) If the created date in Total Commander is correct, you can use that - it depends on how the particular phone is handling the 3 dates.

Thank you.

I have over 2000 photos, and I will not remember the correct dates for them all.

Does the App recognise the dates in the cloud and change the dates on the phone for me, or do I manually have to change each date?

If I have to change the date manually, is there a way of seeing the photo dates on one screen, and seeing the app on another screen? I didn't know whether I had to import the photos into the app, and therefore the dates would change to today.

When I want to play a video, I now always have to download the video from the cloud, or I can watch it directly from the cloud but it takes ages to load and it buffers.
