Daydream and the heat

I really want to get a Daydream and play with VR. But I'd like to know if you think the overheating issue is worth it. Will it shorten the life of my Pixel? Do you think I'd have to take it out of my OtterBox Commuter to help it cool?

I think you'd have to take it out of the OtterBox so it will fit in the first place. Heat is an issue with daydream for sure, I've used mine only a handful of times and the phone gets super hot. Can't be good for the internals, especially the battery
