dBrand skin and the camera - Is protecting the lens an issue?

I have never gone the skin route but I am thinking of trying it out. My only concern is the camera. When you lay the phone down on its back, is scratching the camera an issue? All of my cases have a small lip around the lens that keeps it off the table.

Is this a big issue or nothing to worry about (within reason)?

I went with a skin for a long time on my 3XL. No lens issue. I think the little metal rim around the lens keeps it off the ground the slightest bit.

There's a skin for the camera which provides a bit of protection. The matte and some of the textured skins are a bit thicker. Always worked out fine with Pixel 2, 2xl and 3. I even used a skin on the Nexus 6P big camera visor and never had any issues.
