Agreed. They wouldn't have left out some exciting tidbit like that when they clearly needed an exciting tidbit. If it was DDR4 I think they would have said it.

I guess some thought that HTC might have mentioned it in their announcement event if they had it and interpreted the omission as as confirmation that M9 didn't have DDR4. Perhaps they just didn't think it's performance benefits were newsworthy (or perhaps in the M9 there are no notable performance benedits).Funny how all these people know so much about everything, yet know nothing! The HTC M9 HAS DDR4!
More then likely DDR3, but I don't think HTC has said which one it has.
DDR4
"HTC One M9 runs on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 810 chip, which utilizes an octa-core processor with four Courtex-A57 cores ticking at 2.0GHz and four Cortex-A53 clocked at 1.5GHz. The GPU in charge of graphics is the Adreno 430 and there is 3GB of DDR4 RAM to ease multi-tasking."

Via my HTC One M9...
Thats Samdung. They are also the one with memory issues they have not resolved. .I thought Samsung said one of the reasons for the lack of micro sd in the S6 had something to do with them not being able to keep up with DDR4 RAM?
