Dead mic on Hangouts WIFI only with HTCOne 4.1

I am calling out ok with my HTCOne 4.1 android and can hear but the person I am calling cannot hear me.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using that phone on wi-fi only? If you can make regular calls, are there any issues? How about on speakerphone?
