OK, I stalled and lurked too long. The Storm died so I had to pop for a new Thunderbolt. I have only had it about an hour so we shall see. I have followed this forum since the Thunderbolt rumors started and am now one of you.

Hope you enjoy the Thunderbolt. It might take you a little bit to get used to it coming from a BB, but I am sure, and I hope that you learn to love Andriod and the Thunderbolt. If you need any help, trust me, the forums on here are a great place to start and learn.

Ditto to all the posts above! You will be deliriously happy with this device compared to the Storm. The only problem with it is I can't seem to put it down.

Welcome aboard! I too came from a Storm and have not regretted the move. The tbolt is a great phone and AC is a great Android community.

Ditto on coming from S1. It took afew days to get the system down, but like the phone, and I was more concerned about pushing two email accounts like BB. Now its easy.
Working on using the apps on the Market now.

I wonder how many Storm converts were using the Storm 1/2 as their first Blackberry?

I more reluctant to trash my Storm. Mine ran very well, and the Bolt doesn't live up to the hype for me. Not trashing it, but the I've been very happy with all my Blackberries, and will buy one when QNX is released on a phone (hopefully a Torch like setup), even if I have to pay full price. The Bolt is nice, powerful, and loaded with tons of crafty features, but a little too 'open source' for my liking.

That would be me. Storm 1 was my 1st Blackberry. I bought it the day it came out and used it all the way up to March 17th. I never had the problem some people reported having (except for memory leaks and battery pulls) - I liked (and still like) the Storm's calendar, email, contacts, and texting better. It handled, PDF's, .rtf's, .xls's without widgets.

What I didn't like was waiting for the Storm 3, and when it was known that it wasn't coming until SEPTEMBER and WITHOUT QNX, I decided to try a Droid.

It's taken some time, but I'm getting used to it. I will be ready for another new phone in two years and by then there should be some pretty amazing phones from which to choose.

Same for me. I had a Storm 1 as my first BB, then got the Storm 2 and had that a little over a year. I was torn about the iPhone, Droids, or waiting for the Storm 3 but didn't want to wait until September.

I got the Thunderbolt and it's taking some time to learn but I do love it. As far as quickness/responsiveness my Storm 2 can't even compare. The only thing I miss about my BB are the contact specific notifications. I liked knowing who the email was from by the sound. I have found an app, WhoIsIt, that is kind of comparable, but not quite as good. Otherwise I really don't miss the BB like I thought I would.

Also coming from a storm 2 and a long line of BlackBerrys and have had my t bolt for a little bit. There are definitely some things I miss about BB but this phone is incredible and is a great replacement. I will also heavily consider a qnx bb when they come out but this phone is just so great. And it NEVER lags like my S2 did. I sure don't miss that! Welcome to the dark side!
