I gave my mom my g2 and i need a new phone, so here goes!

1. I see this phone has no LED indicator light, i know this isnt a big deal with the "active display" on the device but how do you know when its fully charged? Im just really used to phones having it go to green when fully charged.
2. How loud is the speaker? Think i could hear it over a running shower lol?
3. Will this phone sit on its side when laid up against something to watch videos in landscape, or would you need a case to achieve that feat?
4. Is it possible to turn off the active display altogether and get stock lollipop lock screen back (given that i update to lollipop)?
5. Can you turn off the google now screen when you swipe right? I love google now, but i dont know how i feel about it being on one of my homescreens.
6. How is battery life while watching movies/streams?
7. The always on listening, has the response time from google searches been improved with lollipop? The reviews ive been watching on this phone are all from 2013 and ive heard this was supposed to have been made better with lollipop.?

Im mostly intrigued by this phone because of the form factor, i liked the size of my G2 but it was slightly too wide for my tastes still and a 4.7" 720p screen sounds like something i could one hand a little better. If you cant answer all of these questions maybe just tell me how you feel about the phone overall, and if you can still recommend it in 2015. I found a brand new unlocked model on ebay for 149.00 which seems reasonable.

Thanks for any replies. :)

#1 you have to unlock the device to see the battery status. #2 it's decent not boom sound but moto always has decent speakers and yes you can hear it over the shower. #3 you can prop it up depending on the surface #4 I don't think so but you so still get the cards also #5 Motorolas launcher does not have Google now built it to the left so no worries there you would have to download Google now launcher to get that feature on this phone #6 it doesn't have huge battery don't expect crazy battery life while watching movies but I don't know exactly because it is to small for moving watching for me #7 it works as fast as you say it it pops up I still use mine had it when it came out its a great phone nice size runs smooth I have no issues with mine
