I'm rooted and ready to debloat...anyone have a list of apps that are safe to remove for TELUS. Also I have been trying to flash clockwork on my phone forever..I follow exact steps by namedbrandon on Verizon fascinate but I get a fail and the phone bricks, or if flash is successfully oi get stuck in a reboot loop. Any help

i was having the same issue with 2.1 i couldn't flash clockworkmod it kept bricking my phone. Hopefully someone has a solution..

I'm not sure about clockworkmod. I have a Fascinate and only rooted and debloated. For a list of apps, see this thread: http://forum.androidcentral.com/fascinate-roms-hacks/34208-apps-safe-remove-once-rooted.html. There is a script there to run that works pretty well, although you might not have some of the bloat I had from Verizon.

And don't actually remove the files, rename them or move them. Download Root Explorer and use that. I created a folder on my SD card, and moved all the bloatware there. That way it's easy to put back if/when I get Froyo.

Bloat Freezer in the market allows you to freeze the bloat, freezing keeps them from running and makes them invisible, deleting them will keep you from ever getting OTA updates in the future so don't delete them!

To the op. My phone was rooted when I had the Eclair. I removed most of the Samsung third party proprietary apps but I left all the rest such as touchwiz etc.

The good thing about Telus is that they did not install their bloat ware
