Well, they decided to bunch them together after the December update was DOA.
Not like they were planning on doing this to begin with, as it was only announced after people started asking questions.

But yes, I believe it when/if I finally get an update in January.

I'm relatively new to Pixel and Google Fi (Oct 2019) so I'm not really aware of the scheduling or "normal" release dates for updates. I've seen the 5th of the month mentioned. Is that pretty right-on? So are we due for an update around now?

Supposed to be the first Monday of the month, so today should be the day. Nothing for me yet ...

"If you did not receive... you'll be receive a joint... update" - to me, that reads as saying that the joint update will only be issued to those who didn't receive the December update, meaning they can identify those devices (since presumably they were all in a phase that never released, according to their lore). As such, I'm curious whether Google will issue it before the individual January update rolls out to other devices, or whether we'll get another bedtime story about staged rollout.

Of course, the January update is already published, and there's no sign of a published joint update...

I just did. 12.7 MB. Verizon purchased pixel 3 xl. No noticeable issues. For what it is worth, I already received the December update back on the first Monday in December.

And really be surprised if there would be a special update fur us.
Once the January update is installed, how would you ever know that you didn't get the December portion?

Mine is updating right now. It is 12.7 mbps also. I did last months update with my vzw sim. It currently is using the Fi esim.

Just sideloaded mine. on Google Fi. I sideloaded mine last month also. I'll wait until next month to see whether or not the system is back to normal.
