Heres the situations:
After reading hundreds of threads about iphone 4 vs. thnderbolt/android I am still on the fence. I currently have an iphone 4 on verzizon and apple tv and an ipad 2 and a 4g mobile hotspot. I was thinking about swithcing to the tb but i am unsure, here are my thoughts, if someone could make my decision easier i would appreciate it:
1. i like ios for its simplicity but I also like customizing the phone
2. i like netflix but i rarely use it (but is still like the feature to be avialble to me
3. i like navigation on android alot but i have tomtom for the iphone and vz navigator
4. I browse the inernet on the phone regularly but have found that the lack of flash doesnt matter to me
5. I use bluetooth in my car for music and phone and my iphone synced up perfectly
6. i use corporate email and my email is on a 2003 server so html is only availble for the iphone emails, an i hate touchdown for android
7. I ave found that most apps on android look like messed up versions of the iphone apps. also new and useful apps always land on ios first.
8. I ate force closes

keeping all this in mind I cant make a decision!!!!

Most of your "but"s are with a slant towards the iPhone.

Only you know how important each of those features are to you and how much you weight each of them.

From first blush though, it does seem that you're pretty happy with your user experience with iPhone. If you're considering the Bolt because it's new technology, you know that you'll always be chasing newer technology.

What it allllllll comes down to is what is best for your own personal use....you seem pleased with the iphone and if so then stick with that.

I too like the UI of ios. For my iPod and ipad that is....for my daily driver, I'll stick with android. If you don't like something. There's always the option to customize it the way you want it. That's a drawback with ios. You can sync your music to your android device from iTunes. So that shouldn't be something to hold you back

Be careful. I think the Tbolt may brick your Volkswagen. Processing power may fry it up!

I've never had an iPhone so I can't really say a whole lot, but for me it was all about LTE. From now on my motto for choosing a phone is "LTE or die!"

Anyway, if you aren't in an LTE area then I guess it doesn't matter, but both my current home (St. Louis) and my hometown (suburb of Columbus) have LTE and anything other than an LTE phone is out of the question for me.

I agree with the others - you seem to be leaning heavily toward the iPhone already. Still, here's my input, for what it's worth.

1. Android is only as complicated as you make it. I've rooted and customized mine, sure, but my parents with their stock Android phones consider it extremely simple and straight-forward, especially my father who went the HTC/Sense route.
2. From what I understand it won't be long before Netflix lands on the Thunderbolt. Won't it be nice to have a 4.3" screen for those rare occasions? ;)
3. Navigation on Android is fantastic and completely free. You can kick VZ Navigator to the curb.
4. I'm also in the "indifferent toward Flash" camp but, again - the larger screen is quite nice for browsing. It's also nice having so many different browsers to choose from.
5. Can't help with this one...
6. ...or this one.
7. It's true, some Android apps look less polished than their iOS counterparts - I understand that it's a trade-off we make for the ability to choose from so many different devices. But I would hardly say that "most" apps on Android have this problem, and I also don't agree that new/useful apps "always" land on iOS first. Since switching to Android over a year ago I have always been able to find quality apps to suit any and all of my app-related needs.
8. So do we.

In the end it's all about YOUR preferences. :)

In regard to the corporate e-mail, if you can get on with the iPhone, you can get on with the stock Sense Mail app. I have corporate e-mail as well and we use an Exchange Server and it works beautifully on the Thunderbolt.

As someone who has the Verizon iPhone 4 after having screamed for years that it was what I was waiting for, I cannot wait to get a Thunderbolt!!! I will say that the Verizon iPhone 4 has been flawless and works so fluidly. Not a hiccup ever. But the notification system is a total fail and after coming over from Android (Droid>X>Fascinate) I miss the lack of customization. Throw in the fact that LTE is prevalent all over Florida and the next iPhone 4S won't have LTE and most likely Apple isn't going to totally revamp the notification system in iOS 5 nor add the capability for widgets, I am definitely moving back over to Android. The crop of phones out now and coming out are much better than the crap I was dealing with before I got the Verizon iPhone 4.

If you want a perfect out of the box experience and want a simple smartphone then get the iPhone.

If you want a more powerful smartphone, customization and adaptability, then get the Thunderbolt.

You have already decided. Keep the iPhone.
From your list, you imply that the iPhone is close to perfect and Android is flawed in many ways. Why rock the boat.
Oh, and you left off the short battery life in the Thunderbolt.

Go for iphone if the only thing in favor of thunderbolt is that you can customize it. This is what I can see in your post, you have your own answer.

Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt.

If thats a holocaust joke, its not very funny ;), is this a serious post?

Not sure how it would be a holocaust joke. I think he meant because VWs are notoriously underpowered. I know my 79 VW bus was. If I switched on the emergency lights or wiper it would blow a fuse and my lights didn't work. Lol. Or my horn was beep when using my turn signal.

I had to get a running start to make it uphill. I started doing 65 at the bottom. By the time I reached the top I'd be at 30 mph.

Absolutely. I used a VZW iPhone for a few months (got it on release day, in fact) and loved everything about it - except the godawful notification system. When my wife's LG Ally died, she inherited the iPhone and I bought a TBolt.

However, it seems like the OP is already leaning heavily toward the iPhone, and I say he (she?) should keep it.
