I am in the market for a phone, my Nexus 5x died last week, and will purchase from the UK. My choices are

Available now:
- Honor 8 Pro
- Huawei P10 Plus

Wait for:
- Nokia 9
- OnePlus 5

Obviously, the price of the H8P is really enticing, I like that the fingerprint scanner is on the back, the 4,000MAH battery and the QHD screen. The P10P is interesting, because of the better camera and, I am assuming, better support, despite the higher price. I don't like that the fingerprint scanner is on the front. But I think overall, I think it is a better looking phone.

I am a huge Nokia fan, and so I very much would like to wait for the Nokia 9, but I can't be bothered with my crappy spare phone for that long. I do think it will be a killer phone though. Probably same with the OP5, although the rumours of the 3,000MAH battery and the large screen kind of put me off.

So, should I go for the P10P? Will it feel and look more premium than the H8P? Is the camera much better? Will it have better support than the H8P?

If your holding out for the OP5, can I recommend an LG G5 for "just for now"... theyre cheap as chips, FP on the back.. stunning dual camera setup, awesome and VERY loud single speaker, removable battery and under Nougat.. battery life is great for a 2900mAh :).. however.. No wireless charging or No Waterproofing..

I actually switch back and forwards to my G5.. its that good under Nougat :)

Just a suggestion :)

There are so many good deals in the used market to buy a temporary phone. You can always sell it when you're and usually recover what you paid.

This is especially true if you buy an older phone that won't drop in price as quickly as current flagships

I did it with a Nexxus 5X that I needed for two weeks. Got to keep two car chargers and a couple of extra cables and sold it for almost what I paid

That's pretty good. And factoring in the value of the chargers and cables, do think that you at least broke even?
