Android Central Question

I recently upgraded from my old s6 to a s8 and I started playing Fate Grand Order when I noticed that the images were pixely. Upon cross examining I realized that on the s8 the game looks pixely and bad while on the s6 it looked very smooth. Why is it that a better piece of hardware makes the game look worse?

I wonder...what is the native screen resolution of the S6? Is the game being scaled on the S8? That might...might affect image quality or have I had too much Chardonnay this evening?

Default setting on S8 is full hd. Change it to quad hd in settings. Might help.

I a shocked that you could notice... but chances are your Galaxy S6 is running at 2560x1440, the s8 defaults to a more efficient 2220x1080. Go into display settings and change it to 4k if you want.

probably actually due to that game not supporting s8's 18.5/1 aspect ratio. a lot of games still aren't updated.
