Decrypt SD-Card after loosing Phone

Hi,

A colleague of mine had a Galaxy Note 8, but the phone failed, they replaced it for him with a Galaxy Note 9, but he is unable to access any of his photos that was stored on the SD Card. He used the same Samsung account on the new phone that was used on the old phone.

What can be done to decrypt the data on the SD Card?

The decryption key is stored in the phone that was returned. Without this the photos will be unavailable.
