Default bluetooth

Is there a way to keep my phone going thru my earbuds when getting into my car? It always switches to my cars Bluetooth 'sync' and I'd rather keep the default to my buds. I end up switching it back manually but there's gotta be a priority setting somewhere.

There should be a list of settings in your car bluetooth which allows you select phone, media, contacts etc. Just turn off media.
