Default Calendar does not include holidays

Hello and how is everyone doin today? My question is this..why is it that when I bought my s4 , then s5 and note 10.1, the calendars do not include the holidays on them? Do you know that it is a nightmare to try and get them on there...If anyone can make my life easier and give me a quick option to take care of this let me know, please. Thank you.

Are you using the "My Calendar" option that stores all the info on the phone? Even if you want to stick with the Samsung Calendar app, you might prefer to stop using My Calendar and instead use the Google Calendar. One of the options in Google Calendar is to include US Holidays, or any of a zillion other calendars (google calendar on the web, in settings-calendars, has an option to "browse interesting calendars".)
