Defaulting the call to phone or car kit

Hello All,
I moved recently from iphone to note 3
when i was using my iphone in the car. answering from the iphone will route the call to the phone while answering from the car kit will route the call to car speakers.

with note 3 this is not working. calls are always routed to the car speakers. and then you can transfer it to the phone.

is there is a setting that i am missing on the phone or is there any application that can correct this.

I know when I'm synced with my car, I can go into bluetooth settings and choose how calls and music are routed?

in the car there is no settings to be adjusted
do you mean in the phone itself i can adjust this?
