delay in camera

i know it has quick laser focus etc but if i want to take a photo and quickly take another 1 after it it has a delay and won't let me press the button.
i know with my last phone i could just keep pressing the button without almost any delay.
is this normal for our phones?

Mine has a slight delay. Longer in HDR mode. I haven't found the delay long enough to cause any missed shots though. When I wanna take multiple shots I hold it down for rapid.

It depends on what you have your camera set up. When you go into settings there is an option for what kind of pictures and video your phone will do. Some are bigger, which takes more time to process and save, while the other options take less time. And yes, like the above poster said, if you just hold down the camera button, it will take burst photos so you won't miss a thing.
