Since the 4.3 jelly bean update, I have not experienced excessive battery drain like most have reported. However, the only problem I have with it is the simplest function that we've all forgotten about....MAKING A PHONE CALL.

When I open my contacts and swipe to the right it takes 10-11 seconds for the dialing screen to pop up. This is the one thing every phone should do instantaneously. Very frustrating especially when I need my phone for business.

My question is, is there something I've done that is contributing to this, or is it simply the update? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Are you on the (weeks old) 4.3 update or the (within the last day or two) 4.3 update? If the former, you need to check to see if the new update has been released for your carrier/region.

Yes, they've started rolling out a new build of 4.3 within the last few days. Not sure how long it'll take your carrier to release it, but as the song goes 'hang on; help is on the way'. Keep checking or see if Kies shows an update available.
