Deleted Emails Reappear

I'm having a problem with my email. Deleted email reappear or read emails are marked unread. So I'll see on my home screen that I have new emails I open the app and there are no emails from today. Scrolling down I see that the 2 emails were from 4 or 5 days ago and I'm certain that I read and, in some cases, deleted them. Anyone know how to fix this?

Go into settings, applicatons, and find gmail app. Clear its data and cache. See if that helps.

Thanks for trying but these are not Gmail emails. They are to my work account.

Im having the same issue with my dinosaur aol acct....they only stay deleted if i use my pc....my gmail is fine

This happens to me with Gmail. But this issue is old as he'll I don't know how Google hasn't fixed it.. Clearing data always works tho
