Deleting from "My Library"

just got the new Nexus 7 (2013 version) and it looks like it comes with a few complimentary single issue magazines. if i go into the My Library portion of Play Magazines (the other two being Read Now and Shop - just so you know where i am) and click on the menu button next to the issue date it gives me two choices, Keep on device and Delete from library. when i click to delete, a confirmation dialog comes up and i click on Delete. however, when i go back to my home screen i still see the magazine (Real Simple) in the My Library widget.

i've even download the issue and then tried to delete it to no avail. i was able to delete one other free magazine that was preloaded (Conde Nast Traveler). i just can not seem to get rid of the Real Simple issue

anyone have an idea how i can get rid of this magazine from appearing.

Note: while i am computer literate i am new to the Nexus environment.

I just deleted one of the complimentary magazines from the Play Magazine app, and that worked OK, it no longer shows in my library.

Maybe try removing the widget from your homescreen, then reinstall the widget?

I don't use the widget, so if that doesn't do it, I'm out of ideas.

i had previously removed and then reinstalled the widget but that did not help. weird that i was able to delete the one magazine but not this one.

i ended being able to get rid of the Real Simple magazine from appearing in MyLibrary.

what i did was to do a "Delete from library" just to make sure that it was not present (i.e. the actual full blown e-zine) on the Nexus. it still showed up in MyLibrary though. i first removed the MyLibrary widget and then did a App Info on Play Magazines and did a "Clear Data". this wiped out whatever was in there (i did not have any other magazines so i did not care) as well as cleaning the cache. i then added the MyLibrary widget back and the magazine was gone. all that was left were the books/movie that came preloaded as well as my own books.

I was hoping to use the "My Library" app myself, but wound up deleting the widget and buying Aldiko Pro instead as books are more my thing on the tab. If you ever figure it out, let us know!
