Why don't apps delete the folders they create on the sd card when you uninstall the app? Is there an app that tracks what folders get created and deletes them when the app is installed?

Because it would be like burning down the house when you leave on vacation. You may be back again sometime!

Seriously I hate it too. But just one of those things. The really dumb thing is a lot of apps make a folder and never put anything in it.

I have deleted folders that I didn't know were used. They show up again.
So if you delete something and it is needed, the app will create it again.

Just like in Windows. Windows does a crummy job of cleaning up after a program deletion. just accept that you have to go in behind the OS and clean up the leftovers.

Good to know!!
Hi I'm new here and have had my Incredible for about a year ! So you can imagine all the apps Ive added & deleted during that time!! Now I got all those left over folders I'd like to delete but cant figure out how to do it! I have file managers comming out my ears on this thing and none of them are very good IMHO.
I'm not rooted but have been reading up on it. (scared!!) Anyway the file managers I have are as follows:
ASTRO
Quick office? (not sure if that counts)
Turbo Droid
advanced task killer free
Ghost commander

Ive also used OI file manager but deleted it.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO ACTUALLY MANAGE MY FILES! Delete, move, rename etc!
I've got folders I know should have files in them but when I bring it up it says No APK file or something:confused:
