Deleting old texts

I have one text thread that is almost 9000 messages long. I don't want to delete the whole thread, but there are some texts I want to delete. It takes a few seconds for incoming and outgoing texts in this particular thread to receive and send. My questions are:

Is there any way to get to the top of the text thread without scrolling?

Is there any way to delete just the MMS messages from the thread?

When I'm in the thread and touch the menu button, there's an option that says "Delete messages". What does this do exactly? Will it give me check boxes to delete specific messages? I don't want to select it and lose everything.

You should be able to long hold on just the ones you want to delete. Delete messages deletes all of them

Downside is you'll have to delete 1 by 1

I figured it out. Go SMS has folders including an MMS folder, so I was able to delete them like that. Thanks for your help!
