Hello,

Any help would be great as to how to delete pictures from my droid X I already plugged the phone into the computer, went to DCMI folder, deleted the pictures, deleted the .thumbnails and the pictures are still on my phone but with the delete option greyed out.

Congrats, you have just discovered one of the major bugs in the stock Gallery! :/ For that reason, I don't even try to delete photos from anywhere other than within the Gallery itself anymore. The only way I found to fix that problem is to just copy the pictures that you deleted back to where they originally were, and then open the gallery and delete them from there. I never delete them from my PC or with Root Explorer anymore.

You can just clear the data under the Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/All Tab/Gallery/Clear Data

I got the bright idea to get the old pics out of the camera folder and put them in another folder so I moved all the files to the new folder in the dcim and figured all my pics would show up there and I would have a clean camera folder... it went went crazy idea had the pictures in both folders and the thumbnail where messed up and freaking out... so I moved them back and cleared cache/data ergg
