Deleting pre-programmed 'My Event' events from Samsung Calendar.

Samsung Calendar has a large number of events already programmed in at various dates and times, all called "My Event" and lasting for one hour each. These prevent the calendar being used to schedule real events. Does anyone know how to remove these pre-programmed events from the calendar?

Open Calendar app hit the apps menu the three dot in the right hand corner, select manage calendar, then holidays turn off.

In addition you might have birthdays of contact and alike on your device, you might want to turn those types of fields off as well.
