Deleting TWRP so i can update

i keep getting the same update on my rooted GN2. everytime i try to update,my phone goes to TWRP and it won't install it. im thinking about deleting the recovery from my phone so that i can update and then reinstalling it again after.will deleing TWRP mess up root? whats the best method to delete it? will this even work?

It won't hurt anything. If the update takes and you lose root it's easy to get it back. But you can't delete twrp, what you can do is install the stock recovery which removes twrp. Then you can try the install. On my phone I've tried it and it just won't update even with stock recovery and stock rom.
