I always figured the "L" was going to be lollipop, even way back when gingerbread was the latest version.
 
Lemon fan here as well, but there's a better chance of seeing lollipop statues at Google than a giant slice of pie. Mmmm....giant slice of pie...
 
Given that they've used Jelly Bean it's not a far stretch to think that they could use Lollipop, but what about Liquorice or Licorice?
