Deregister without unrooting

I saw this asked before without receiving a clear answer.

So I've successfully used Autonooter 3.0 on a Nook Color which had stock 1.1 installed. I want to keep all the apps and root setup on the machine but wish to give it to a friend who wants to register under his BN account.

Is this possible? Is it possible to deregister the device so that it's not tied to my BN account without wiping most stuff out? (I don't mind getting rid of sideloaded books and there are no sideloaded apps. I just want to keep the apps, Softkeys, Zeam, etc.)

Thanks.

There are two things:
- The B&N registration of the B&N app/launcher
- Google account registration for Android to a google account

You are asking about deregistering the B&N account, but that has nothing to do with Android apps.

Apps are tied to the google account. You cannot transfer paid apps from 1 account to another.

Unless you want to give him the nook with your google account signed in, you can't really do what you're asking for.

Does that mean I can also deregister the Google part? The Nook has no paid apps whatsoever.

Should I deregister the BN first? Doesn't that erase a lot of stuff? And then what deregistering from Google?

Thanks for your help.

Restore it to stock, have friend register and re-root. I know you were looking for another way and this sounds like a pain in the ass, but the whole process is about 5 minutes not including the burning of the boot sd.

Ok. But if I understand this, restoring to stock restores to version 1.0.1 not to 1.1? That means I must do the following: De register and erase, restore to stock, upgrade to stock 1.1, and then use autonooter 3.0. Then my friend registers. Is this the correct sequence?

Thank you.

I may be wrong, but I think I had to register before I booted autonooter. It's been too many days since I did it..so maybe someone who knows more about the process will give you a better answer.
