Desire 500 - scree unlock touch problem (freeze)

it often happens that the touch crashes, go freeze, it does not work, and I must press the power button to turn the display off and then turn it back on and unlock go again to resolve. Has not happened only to the display unlock, but sometimes even when I used it. Do you know what it is, what comes from and maybe how to fix?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you see any error messages, or is it just that the screen becomes unresponsive to touch?

Try booting into Safe Mode, which disables all 3rd party apps. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's likely a hardware or firmware issue. You could try a factory reset, but if the problem persists after that, then you may have to contact HTC for repair.

Is there anything near the phone that might be causing any electromagnetic interference? For example, is the phone sitting on a computer or other device with a big power source? Or a big speaker? Nearby electromagnetic fields can sometimes interfere with touchscreen function. Otherwise, I'd suspect some fault in the touchscreen itself. You may just have to contact HTC for service, or bring it to a repair shop.
