Is this enough to stop people buying the Desire S?

Can you anyone see a fix for such an issue, different battery cover?

Let's start with the Wi-Fi attenuation issue. It's just a bit too easy to trigger accidentally. We first noticed it because we were logging into a web server, typing our password in landscape mode, and suddenly we couldn't connect anymore.

It's a bit like the iPhone 4's issue in that if you've got a really strong signal, it'll reduce it, but probably not all the way if you're just holding the phone casually, or have it placed gently on your leg.

Well my "S" arrived yesterday and the issue mentioned above has not proved to be a significant issue in normal use around the home. No drop in wifi performance experienced.
Overall I'm very pleased with the device, the profile of the handset being a particular positive point. if an Incredible or HD are too big for you, this might be the perfect choice?

Exactly. Its a non-issue. That does not mean it does not exist, but its not disturbing me. Actually wifi reception is very good.

I bough it 1 week ago, and does not have any issue, sometime it would restart itself when running too much apps.
