My wife's Samsung Galaxy Tab A was working just fine yesterday. She was a bit shy on 'disk' space, so I changed settings in two programs, Kindle and Wild Birds Unlimited, to store the data on the SD card instead of the tablet's memory. After I made those changes, the tablet seemed to work as before.

However, today, the tablet has started displaying 'Unfortunately Google Play Services Has Stopped'. While i was able to find a number of sites that explain what to do in this situation, on our device, once the OK is hit, the warning comes right back. In other words, I cannot do anything on the tablet.

Please point me at instructions as to how to deal with this. In worst case, perhaps there is some adb command I can use?

Okay - was able to get there:
Model Number: SM-T580
Android Version: 6.0.1
Kernel Version: 3.18.14-10227680

Not sure if this matters, but while doing this the warning window would go away for a second or two, then come back.

That tablet is getting pretty old, and I wouldn't be surprised if you start running into more and more app incompatibilities on Marshmallow. Regardless, try wiping the cache partition. Follow the steps here to get to the Recovery Menu, but make sure to select Wipe Cache Partition instead of Wipe Data. No personal data will be affected with a cache partition wipe. https://www.hardreset.info/devices/samsung/samsung-t580-galaxy-tab-a-101-2016-wifi/
