Detachable or convertible?

Looking at a 2 in 1 and have been comparing different versions of Lenovo against Microsoft surface pro, spectre etc... give me some pros and cons of each

detachable gives me freedom to carry light weight devices.

Ok. any issues with heat problem when keyboard is detached for a long period of time. Heard that but can’t verify
