Detroit Newbie

Hey folks,

I'm a new guy from the Detroit area. I do consider myself a bit of a nerd. I've done stuff like build my own PCs so I'm familiar with things from the hardware side but I'm not much of a software guy. I'm a bit nervous to root my phone so I plan on doing a ton of research.

Currently, I'm using a HTC Wildfire S on Metro PCS. I've done the phone update so I'm not sure how that will interfere with everything but if you can point me in the right thread, that would be awesome.

Glad to be here and looking forward to doing some fun stuff.
