Developer Edition Release Date?

All I can find is that it is coming soon and that is from all the posts back in late June/Early July. Is there any "official" word on a release date? I have been holding out to get this and ditch my iPhone, but it is taking forever to be released.

no need for it anymore man, they've cracked the bootloader on the regular one.
