developer options??

What should I change to make my pixel 4 better
Honestly, it's all for some preference, but you can change the screen window animations for all three options to 0.5 instead of 1x. Will make your phone seem a little faster. I've also increased the screen with DPI to 598 to fit a little bit more content on the screen at once. I think the default value is 480 or 450 something like that.

What sort of improvement are you looking for? Developer Options aren't going to suddenly make the phone's performance jump up, or the battery life prolong by a large amount.

That is very true, developer options won't make your phone faster it will just seem a little bit faster. Most people don't even touch the window screen animation scale. I do just because ana and I like to fine-tune every setting but it doesn't really make too too much of a difference at the end of the day.

I like the force dark mode option and is really the only one I use. It puts some of my apps in dark mode that otherwise wouldn’t be dark.

I completely agree with that one. Forcing override dark mode option and developer settings is a freaking cool option!

I always set every phone to 0 animations ...I want quick in and out don't want to see the fluff lol ..dark mode on always and I have the DPI set to 491 for this screen real estate..

You aren't going to get any magical improvements, but you might find some options worth tweaking around with, like animations which give the impression your phone is a little faster.
