I would like to see a great tower defense game on the EVO 3D using the 3D. I feel that the 3D on this phone will not just be a gimmick, but will be the start for something new.

agreed! This will be completely amazing if were going to continue to get 3DS ports; 3D + accelerometer can give devs what they need to make some super awesome new games

I have never played a game on a smartphone; EVO 3D just might turn me into a gamer!

Not to mention the games will be mirrored to the display it is connected via HDMI or DLNA. Essentially, this turns the phone into the game controller and console all in one. I know I will be utilizing this to play a game here or there.

Glad to see development has started even prior to release :)

are you sure mirroring games will work over dlna? I've only seen dlna work with pictures and video. But ya, mirroring a game could be amazing if you have a controller handy

Yeah. The Sprint rep in the 26+ min vid at CTIA stated as such. At the time, she hooked it up using the HDMI cable, but stated that the mirroring effect worked via HDMI or DLNA. Later in the video, she said the same about the streaming video. The difference for video is that the video on the phone shuts off in favor of the output to the TV/monitor.

Just to add to this, the mirroring effect encompassed everything being shown on the phone, with the exception I noted above regarding video.

At what point in the video does she mention this? The part about MIRRORING over DLNA. I watched it but I didn't catch that.

While I am grateful for the amazing work Orrebmas did with FullHDMI for the Evo 4G, one of the limitations is controlling the phone from my couch.

Lately I have been using Netflix, and it looks awesome with the FullHDMI app, but if I want to pause it, or select another show, I have to get up and go over to the phone by the TV.

Thanks!

I need to apologize here. I did so already on Phandroid. I re-watched that clip in response to a similar question there. The mirroring is indeed true, however not for DLNA. The rep was demonstrating HDMI and a question was asked if it worked for DLNA as well. She had confirmed DLNA was available, but qickly followed that by saying files can be transferred using DLNA. I missed that in my viewings prior to the latest.

Again, I apologize for mis-leading you and any others. Such was not my intent.
