device formatted and IMEI changed, can i get back old nickname on play

hi all

Greetings... and i hope this is the relevant forum for my question

Issue is that my HTC desire SV was causing some issues like restarting and all so i got it repaired as it was still in warranty. Now then i connect it to goole play i can still download the apps i had earlier but it is shown as UNKNOWN DEVICE.... i understand i can change the name and remove the old detail but is that the only option? Cant the profile be continued again ?
