Device will not charge

Just received my device.

Trying to complete the initial charge.

Plugged in and ready to go, but no indication that it is charging.

Is there a light on the power button or somewhere else that will light up during a charge?

Isn't there supposed to be a charging symbol on the battery level indicating a charge?

Seems like the unit is not responding to the charger.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the advise!

Yes, there is a tiiiny little orange/amber light on the power button that lights up when the device is charging.Check for that again. It's hard to see sometimes.

I received my 64gb Transformer Prime last evening. All hooked up to charge and DOA. No light, no nothing but a dead, blank screen after three hours. Called Asus and after waiting 51 minutes at 1AM got customer service who stated hold down on switch for 10 seconds, the hold down another 5 seconds. . . .Nothing. Gave RMA no. to send it in, but it is only for a repair and I do not want a refurbished Transformer Prime that never worked.

Good Luck. I am ticked after waiting over a month to get a tablet DOA.

Don't be ticked, these things happen with electronic devices. You should get another and enjoy that one after returning this one. Phones, laptops, tablets - all of them mess up, and sometimes that unfortunately means there is a chance your situation could occur. You never know, there could just be something not making contact internally, they mold them together in a matter of seconds, and wah-lah, the Prime is ready to roll again. Yes, the argument is that, if that were the real case, they should've been molded together already - I get that. But you have to understand that, sadly, as a consumer, when buying any electronic, you are taking a risk of it not working correctly when you receive it. We just have to deal with it. Put a smile on, send it back and wait for a better one. You'll be really happy once you receive one with no issues! :)

What's even better - the Prime tablet itself is not that hard to get anymore, with people ordering and receiving theirs within a week or so from places like Best Buy and Office Depot (sometimes Newegg as well). And gray docks are readily available everywhere as of this writing. However, champagne docks are still a total b*tch to find.
