Most certainly. I seem to be getting around half of the battery life I had before the update! This is horrible. I used to have 50% of my battery left by late evening, now I'm getting battery low messages by mid afternoon and my phone is completely dead by evening. I also hate the fact my screen is now dimmer with the update. My phone also seems a bit slower and has a few lags it never had before the new update. I hate this! I'm going to have to downgrade back to the original version.

Did you have the greater than 50% without signal issue prior to the update, without having to toggle airplane mode or PRL update to get around this or was your Epic working fine before the update?

I ask because I'm on my second Epic and this one doesn't seem to have the time without signal issue like my first one did, I've never had to PRL update or toggle airplne mode once with the new one and I always stay below 10% without signal and usually I'm at 0% and battery life is actually really good on this one. On the first Epic, the DI07 update just made the time without signal issue even worse and battery life was crazy bad after the update.

I haven't updated the new Epic yet just because I'm afraid of the outcome but I'm curious if the update will be fine for me since the device is working perfect on DG27 unlike the last Epic where I was plagued with issues on DG27 and even worse on DI07... I have a feeling there is a link between the bad Epic's and them getting worse with the update but I want to know if the good Epic's are having problems after the update if that makes any sense.

Ok well last night I let the battery go dead and charged it full while the phone was off... someone said this fixed their phone but it did nothing for me. I think it may have made it worse.

I made one phone call today lasting 1 minute. I am at work now and I have it in airplane mode the entire time. I am now at 81% battery life from 6:00 AM to 10:25 AM making one phone call on the way to work.

Whats even stranger... look at what my batter usage looks like:

Voice calls - 34%
Display - 20%
Phone Idle - 18%
cell standby - 13%
android system - 6%

This is totally the opposite of what used to happen on my phone... Display was always the biggest killer of battery. and I only made 1 call today.

I have also noticed that while I am sleeping my phone beeps while its charging. Last night I picked it up quickly and it looked like the service was cutting in and our and I always have max bars at my house.
