Sorry for the basic question, but is there any way to automatically insert the area code ahead of a phone number? I know probably not since the area code is probably "variable." But 80 percent of my phone numbers are within my own area code, unfortunately with AT&T in my area you have to dial the full phone number, and in my exchange address book, all the phone numbers are just the seven digit number. So I have to memorize that number for a couple of seconds and retype it.

that address book needs those area codes. unless you want to use an address that does have the ac. thats what the dialer looks to.

Needed to clean up my phone numbers in my contact list stumbled on to Twitch Contacts Formatter, free program that will go through your Google Gmail contact list and add area codes elipisies () and dashes - to all your contact list. It will read the list then ask you for your input as what you want changed or added then after you give the OK will format all the numbers to match.
