Did 1.1 update block root?

Waited too long. I have not rooted the my Nook Color yet. Last night it recieved an automatic update to 1.1. Can I still root my Nook?

Currently, you cannot root from where you are. You would have to reload the older version, root it, and then apply the 1.1.0 upgrade via the technique described in this post, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=932145 .

But, if you can wait a few days it is likely that the auto nooter will be upgraded to support the new update.

So how do I reload to the older version once I've updated to 1.1.0.?

I was wondering if you could use the same method as rooting the original stock rom. To download the 1.0.1 zip onto the internal root memory of the nook and let it boot.

Just wondering? I am by no means qualified to tell for sure.
