Did an update on S7 and now when clear Status Bar Notifications, the app icon badge also clears.

Hi, I just did another update on my S7 last Thursday, June 21st.
Since then, when I clear the notifications in the status bar, the counts/badge also clears on my App icons. WTH?!

Is there a way to fix this ridiculous change?

No one yet has a stock solution to this, and the loss/change of individual notification sound assignment in contacts. Poor planning for Samsung.

There was a complete change to the Notification System in Oreo. Unfortunately this is how it is supposed to work now. If you swipe away notifications it assumes you know you have things to address. They are linked. From now on, don't swipe away notifications if you as long as you need the badge notification counts visible. It isn't Samsung, this is Android Oreo.

Same thing with my S7 as well. I just got a S9 and it came with Oreo and the message bubble and everything else works fine. Perhaps, the S7 is at the back of the line for an Oreo update fix?
