I did a restore last night at the request of Verizon to get rid of my "low space" message. Can someone help me access the apps that were on my SD card? They are not showing up on the My apps section of the market. Also how do I stop the screen from timing out when it's pluged in? Thanks for any and all help!!

OK, I got the screen to stop timing out buti still have the app issue. Thanks!

Hi Ryp11......go to Menu (2nd button) > Settings> Display...and under Display Settings you will see "Screen Timeout". There's a dropdown menu there. Set it where you want it. Just remember that this will ultimately affect your battery life when not "plugged in".

As for your Apps....that's a little less obvious to get working again. I would first go to the Market and take a look at "My Apps" to see what is on the phone according to the Market. You may simply need to Update some Apps....or even reload some of them. If you bought them, they will be free to reload in most cases. Otherwise.....Power down your phone to "Off". Remove your Battery for a minute or two and then re-insert it. Your phone should power back up and recognize your Card.

Let us know if you still have problems.....Good Luck....D

OK, tried the battery pull and still not apps. Not sure if this means anything but since the restore I have the old Android market and not the updated one. Also the phone reboots about 2-3 times a day. Never thought I would say, I want froyo back!!

After a week of daily lockups and random reboots I'm finally getting a new, well cpo, phone from Verizon. It will be here on Tuesday.

After reading more in the forums I hear that people are getting just the front of a phone and then using the battery and the back from their phone. Not sure I like that. To top it all off, after my 1 hour call with verizon on Friday the phone has worked great, no issues. So now do I keep it and send whatever they send me back or what? any thoughts?

1. Regarding apps, they usually won't work after a factory reset. The apps-to-SD feature is more to be able to free up internal storage, rather than having it as an app backup system. The one thing you can do is download movetosd from the Market, and see if the apps show up under the "On sd card" side. But I'm thinking not.

2. The option to keep the screen always on is under Applications->Development. If you change the setting that's under Settings->Display, that will affect the screen 24/7, not just while plugged in.

Yes you keep the same back and battery - standard VZW procedure. Now as far as the phone, it's up to you - you can keep the old one or take the new one. One of the two has to go back to them, but they don't care which one it is
