Did FedEx try to steal my phone?

Still waiting on my 512 Red S22 Ultra. But some of my other items have shipped. Today the Samsung screen protector came but it arrived like this.

FedEx just dropped it off on my porch. I wonder why the box is torn like this. I hope this doesn't happen when my phone ships.

I would definitely share that photo with FedEx as feedback. Make sure they get the label information -- they should be able to track who the delivery person was, and possibly anyone else down the line.

Good idea. I just called to report the issue. The rep didn't have a way for me to send this photo but she did give me a confirmation number. So we'll see. My phone is scheduled for April 8th

Are you sure it was FedEx and not a porch pirate?

I work from home so I went out to get it as soon as I got the delivery notification. I guess it could've been a porch pirate, if it was I don't see why they didn't just take it. It's possible though.

It's reported to FedEx now so if it does happen again I'll have a track record. Not much else I can do

Please let us know what happens with your phone, and definitely contact FedEx about this.

I recorded my whole Fed Ex delivery and handoff on my Ring camera. Even unboxed it on Ring after he handed it to me....Pretty sad that it's come to this...

I bet it was indeed done by the FedEx driver. Probably tried to pick it up and it was stuck or the wheelcart poked it or something, but that's a fresh rip and if it happened at sorting I think they would try to wrap it with FedEx tape. I've had that happen once with a package a while back.

It appears FedEx stole my trade in phone. I traded in my S21 Ultra and was required to ship it by 3/18. I took it to FedEx on 3/16 where it was scanned in for delivery to Samsung. Having heard nothing from Samsung about receipt of the phone and having not received confirmation of delivery by FedEx, I called FedEx this morning to get the status of the package. They told me there was no record of activity after the initial scan on 3/16 and that the package was "lost." Told me I needed to contact Samsung. I was bracing for a struggle with Samsung about the $850 credit I was supposed to get for the trade in. Thankfully, the process was a breeze. Went to the Samsung website and initiated a chat with a rep. Gave the info about the order, trade in and the convo with FedEx and in about 15 minutes I received an email from Samsung that the issue is resolved and they would not charge me back for the missing trade in phone. Whew.

I'm so sorry that happened to you, but that is a relief that Samsung settled everything on their end!

Yes, I was very pleased that Samsung made the process easy. Needless to say, I was pretty concerned before I contacted them!

I practically shoot an unbox video whenever expensive tech is involved, just to cover myself. When I get my renewed phones from Amazon, I record the whole unboxing process to make sure I have proof just in case it was shipped damaged. Same thing when shipping out, the packaging process is all filmed. It's so sad that while it's a lot of money to us, it can so easily be marked as "lost" and we're the ones who are potentially SOL.

I ordered the same setup. Finally got it yesterday, after threatening to cancel. The ship date slid 4 times, and I was fed up.

Glad you finally got it. Maybe threatening to cancel is the cheat code. This launch has been something else. I ordered Feb 9th smh.

I don't care too much because my Note 10+ works fine. The 45 W charger is coming next so we'll see what happens with FedEx
