Did image recovery app stole people's data?

[Android Central Question]

Accidentally free up space on google photos which clears up aa portion of my childhood pictures without backing up. I downloaded "restore image (super easy)" by alpacasoft and as soon as i went in there, i saw a bunch of my albums all over the place, but there were also foreign pictures of strangers and their family in various places all within each album, aswell as other random pictures of things that has no association with my life. Each album has like 18,000+ numbers which i assume indicates the amount of image that is contained there.. I quickly disable any it's app permissions and uninstalled. Should i worry?

Welcome to Android Central! I doubt it's anything malicious. It may be that it was restoring a number of images that were cached by other apps for their own use, or by ad networks used by your apps. This is not unusual.

Recovery apps you never know what u going get with them so seeing random pictures of something someone else might be from that app , going forward just make duplicate backups especially meaningful moments , Google photos/one drive /drop box etc..
