did sprint shut down the 4G?

I live in the Providence, RI area where we have 4G. But recently i havent been able to connect and when i did, i got slower speeds than the 3G network. Any other cities having 4G problems?

RI has awesome Sprint service! I had full bars even on a freaking boat! 4G is working fine right now in north NJ

4G in Charlotte, NC has actually gotten a little faster. It's been really nice. I get 2 out of 3 at my apartment and use it for internet all the time during the busy cable hours

Hi everyone, just incase you haven't read or heard the news.. sprint is actually doing upgrades to they're towers. this upgrade "per sprint" is going to allow for fast 3g/4g connection speeds, as well as better coverage for all service, voice/data. yesterday or day before i had very slow speeds on 3g and no connection on 4g, and i'm in chicago.. but this article should answers questions and explain what is going on.
