I've noticed that in the Netherlands, a Samsung galaxy S3 of 16 GB costs about 400 euros, while one with 32 GB is around 500 euros.
But you can just buy a 20 euros micro SD card and insert it in the 16 GB one in order to expand the memory to 32 GB.
Why is there such a big difference in price? Is it a different kind of memory?

Yes it is. The internal memory differs from that of an SD card. You cannot place apps on an SD card. Your Apps, app related files, systems files, etc can only be stored on your internal storage. Your SD card can be used to store media like pictures, videos, music. I use my SD card for exactly that. My music, wallpaper pics, emulated game files, etc are on my Sd card. That leaves me with more room for apps and related data on my internal.

Unless you have a lot of games or productivity apps (or large ones), 12 GB is a respectable amount of space.

Thanks! Another question:
When they say 16 GB, can you actually use 16 GB for apps and those files or not? Then how many GB exactly?

Sorry...that's why I typed 12. After formatting and Android taking it's share, you are left with about 12GB.
